Clohessy
Harris and Kaiser Architects was founded by Eamon Clohessy A.I.A. and
James Harris A.I.A. who, having worked together for nearly twenty years,
opened this office in 1987. Initially, our practice concentrated on
the design of new speculative commercial office buildings, but we quickly
expanded our services to include Interior Design and Facilities Design.
Richard Kaiser, A.I.A joined the firm in 1989 to support the Interior
Design segment of the practice, which grew significantly during the
1990's. It was at this time that the firm began to expand our design
services further to encompass other building types such as multifamily
residential, data centers, retail, industrial and ecclesiastic projects,
among others. By 1995, the firm had grown to twenty nine employees and
we were fortunate enough to enjoy a growing practice servicing the corporate
community in greater Hartford with projects ranging from modest personnel
relocations all the way up to comprehensive design services for new
corporate headquarter facilities.
Most
recently, to accommodate ongoing growth and to provide a more local
presence in Southern Connecticut, Clohessy Harris and Kaiser has established
a second office located in Westport, Connecticut under the name CH²K
Architects.
